FraudLens Link Guard

The extension checks the site you are on against the real addresses of Mauritius banks and telecoms, and can scan a page or a selected message on request. It is not in any browser store yet, so you install it from the project's source.

Chrome and Edge

Works in Chrome 102 or later and in Microsoft Edge.

01Download the FraudLens source code as a zip and unzip it.
02Open chrome://extensions (in Edge: edge://extensions).
03Turn on Developer mode.
04Click Load unpacked and choose the extension folder inside the unzipped project.

FirefoxNot supported

Not supported yet. The extension is built for Chromium browsers (Manifest V3 service worker), and it has not been packaged or tested for Firefox.

What it does

01Checks each site's address against the real domains of Mauritius banks and telecoms, and marks the toolbar icon.

02Scan This Page: reads the page's visible text, never form fields or anything you typed, and checks it.

03Right-click a link or selected text to check it.

04Security Report: a passive check of a site's HTTPS, headers and cookies.
